JNU begins admission process for all courses

Jawaharlal Nehru University has started its admission process for all its courses. The university will hold JNU Entrance Examination for admission to its various programmes of study and also for Combined Entrance Examination for Biotechnology on behalf of participating universities at 51 cities all over the country and also in Kathmandu, Nepal from May 16 to May 19.

Jamia Millia Islamia’s University Counselling & Guidance Centre will be organising a workshop on “How to Do Well in a Group Discussion” on Thursday starting 3 p.m. at the Committee Room of Nehru Guest House.

The Outreach Programme of Jamia Millia Islamia in collaboration with Smriti, a cultural association of Malayalee students in the University, will also be organising a Malayalam Film Festival.

The vision behind the film festival is to acquaint the student community with the art and cinema cof Kerala.

There have been other Malayalam film festivals in the past.

Aligarh Muslim University’s Literary Club of General Education will be organising a two-day “All India Sir Syed Memorial Debate-2014 starting February 17.

The debate on “Proportional Representation Will Lead to Inclusive Democracy in India” and will be held in English, Urdu and Hindi.

Around 100 participants from about 25 universities have confirmed their registration.

The event is a prestigious annual event of the university organised in memory of Sir Syed Ahmad Khan.
