The ruling Aam Aadmi Party on Thursday announced setting up of an Innovation Department which will facilitate ideas and innovations that would help make Delhi a better city. The “unique department” would engage with highly-talented and motivated Indians, including the volunteers settled abroad, who have ideas, innovations and intent to make India a better country.

The department will be led by Ram Subramanian, thinker, innovator and film-maker. Party sources said the announcement would help fulfil AAP's promise to develop the Capital as a hub for education, tourism and trade.
