The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi will on Saturday, April 18, conduct their 11th Open House, an opportunity for the public to have a look at the projects done by the students and professors.
Some of the key projects that will be on display this year will be a nano-material based water purification device, a portable device for early detection of infectious diseases, a system to build inter-vertebral disc tissue using silk biomaterials, a system using electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide to value added products using solar energy, ‘OnBoard’ – a bus identification system for visually challenged people.
Apart from this, the Open House will have many other projects on display.
Speaking about the annual technical exposition, Professor Suneet Tulli, Dean, Research, IIT Delhi said: “The annual IIT Open House represents the culmination of a year’s worth of inimitable innovations of IIT Delhi. The exhibition is an opportunity for the wider community to experience the innovative vision of our students.”
The Dean also announced a science and technology park in Jhajjhar and Sonepat campus of the institution.
