With only one more day left for sale of application forms, Delhi University’s North Campus was a beehive of activity on Tuesday with the number of submissions far exceeding the number of sales.
“We received around 12,900 completed forms on Tuesday, but the number of forms sold were only 6, 230,” said Dean Students’ Welfare, J.M. Khurana, adding that they had so far, since the beginning of mission admission, received around 1,15,306 applications physically and around 95,926 applications were submitted online.
However, this figure might go up substantially on the last day as the university sees the highest sales on the first and last day of admissions.Normally, the admission counters close at 1 p.m. but it has been decided that the counters will remain open till 4 p.m. because of the prevailing weather condition. The online forms however, can be submitted till 12 p.m. and no forms sent by post will be accepted.
