Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, in a meeting with Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar in Chandigarh on Wednesday, agreed to develop an elevated road link from Ashram Chowk to Badarpur, and automated tax collection at the entry point into Delhi from Gurugram on NH-48, said a press statement issued on Wednesday by the Haryana Public Relations Department.
Mr. Khattar also raised issues pertaining to road connectivity between Delhi and Haryana and non-payment of certain dues by the Delhi government.
Mr. Khattar suggested the road link to ensure easing of traffic congestion in the area. He also raised some other long-pending issues concerning roads and water between the two governments and asked Mr. Kejriwal to direct the departments concerned to take quick action for the betterment of people of both States, the release read.
Priority basis
On this, Mr. Kejriwal said that he would take personal interest in getting these works executed on a priority basis, said the press statement.
The Haryana Chief Minister took up the issue of Dwarka Expressway, linking of Mehrauli-Gurugram Road with Nelson Mandela T-point near Vasant Kunj flyover, and widening of the link road between Mehrauli road near Andheria Mor in Delhi to Gurugram-Faridabad road near Gwal Phari.
Mr. Khattar also took up the issue of non-release of pending extra raw water charges by Delhi Jal Board and non-payment of due totalling over ₹2 crore by the cultivators in Delhi for irrigation water supplied to them, said the press statement.
