Damp weather to continue

January 27, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:32 am IST - NEW DELHI:

A light drizzle all night that continued in the morning had the organisers of the the Republic Day Parade in jitters. But the rain did not play a complete spoil-sport on Monday morning.

Those attending the parade had to mop up their seats and experience damp weather with temperatures below normal.

A low pressure which developed over Rajasthan on Sunday led to the showers.

In Delhi, the minimum temperature settled at 11.6 degrees Celsius while the maximum was 16.4 degrees. Rainfall of 1.4 mm was recorded in the city till 8-30 a.m. Thereafter, till 5-30 p.m., 0.8 mm of rainfall was recorded.

Similar weather conditions are expected to remain for the next three days. Due to adverse weather conditions 33 north—bound trains were running late while two were cancelled. Air traffic was already disrupted as Delhi Airport was shut during the duration of the parade.

Delhi likely to remain damp and cold for next few days
