The Delhi Congress on Tuesday released a 16-page booklet to illustrate the Aam Aadmi Party’s mis-governance in its first 100 days of power.
Chief of the party’s Delhi Unit, Ajay Maken, said, “The AAP leaders are busy fighting among themselves, fighting for their rights, perks and privileges, but not for serving the interest of the people, to whom they made tall promises during the Assembly elections, but back tracked on all the promises after coming to power.” He said 21 Parliamentary secretaries were appointed to ‘oblige the MLAs’ while those ‘who were left out’ had been appointed as chairmen of hospitals of the Delhi Government, and given ‘plush offices’ while many hospitals had no space even to accommodate patients crammed on available beds and on the floors.
The booklet is divided into six sections, under headings including Principles, Failure of Governance, Development Standstill, Price Rise, Insecure Delhi and Poor, Marginalised section let down.
Mr. Maken alleged the AAP had developed a VIP culture to metamorphose from ‘Aam Aadmi to Khaas Aadmi’, sacrificed the Lok Pal and internal democracy, fostered corruption, adopted a policy of ‘use and throw people or the media as per convenience’.
