The critical condition of three persons, injured in the Delhi High Court blast and undergoing treatment at the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, continued to be a cause for concern on Saturday with the hospital authorities maintaining that they were doing everything to improve their condition.
“We have 23 persons injured in the blast who are still under treatment with us, while 21 others have been discharged so far. We haven't transferred any more patients to other hospitals on Saturday. The condition of the three who are critical continues to worry us and we are following a standard level of the treatment and care plan. We are hopeful that their condition will register an improvement soon,” said RML Hospital additional medical superintendent M.K. Gill.
“The hospital staff is working round the clock to ensure that we are able to provide best service to the patients and that they don't face any problems. There is no shortage of blood or any other medical commodities and we are happy with the progress in the condition of the patients with us. Some of those injured in the blast will have to undergo another couple of surgeries before they can be shifted to the wards. Most have pellets lodged in their bodies. Of the patients who have been discharged, some will need to keep coming back for follow up treatment,” she added.
