Chargesheet students in sedition case: ABVP to cops

March 02, 2017 01:29 am | Updated 01:29 am IST - New Delhi

A handful of ABVP members protested outside the police headquarters on Wednesday demanding that a chargesheet be filed in last year’s sedition case against three JNU students.

Kanhaiya Kumar, Umar Khalid and Anirban Bhattacharya were arrested last year over sedition charges in connection to an event at the JNU campus during which anti-national slogans were allegedly raised.

Stating that progress in the probe had been slow, ABVP office-bearer Amit Tanwar said they “demand strict action against the three students.”
