CBI arrests AIIMS staff on graft charge

The Central Bureau of Investigation on Wednesday arrested an All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) staff member in connection with a graft case.

Caught red-handed

Accused K. D. Biswal was caught red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe of ₹19,500 from a civil works contractor for clearing pending bills, said the agency.

Mr. Biswal is an assistant engineer at AIIMS.

The investigating agency also conducted searches at the residential and official premises of the accused.
