The Gautam Budh Nagar police arrested a 32-year-old bus driver on Tuesday evening for allegedly kidnapping and raping a minor at Chak Saberi village in Greater Noida’s Bisrakh.

According to the police, Satinder Sharma had been missing since the December 16 incident. He was arrested following a tip-off.

A case has been registered against him.

“According to the tip-off, Sharma was spotted near Gaur City. A team reached the spot and nabbed him around 7.30 p.m.,” said Bisrakh police station SHO Ajay Kumar.

Living in victim’s house

Sharma, who had been living in the victim’s house for the past three months, allegedly drugged and abducted the girl, took her to Ghaziabad and raped her in a flat.

“The girl returned home the next day and told her parents about the incident. She told them that Sharma raped her repeatedly and dropped her near the house before fleeing,” Mr. Kumar said.

She was taken to a hospital following a police complaint. The medical examination confirmed rape.
