Kiran Bedi defends decision

January 18, 2015 12:00 am | Updated April 01, 2016 10:11 pm IST - NEW DELHI:

Former IPS officer Kiran Bedi on Saturday responded to the allegations made by the Congress that she used Anna Hazare to fulfil her political ambitions by saying that being with the anti-corruption crusader was the “right thing to do” at that time.

“At that time, being with Anna was the right thing to do because India was into a morass of corruption; it was into scams and scams; and it had to be spoken about to save our country. And I can tell you that day came the basis of change. Mr. Modi came above it and took it forward and I think so rightly,” Ms. Bedi told reporters.
