AAP volunteers slam leadership over internal democracy

September 01, 2014 09:24 am | Updated 09:24 am IST - NEW DELHI:

A group of Aam Aadmi Party volunteers on Sunday accused the party leadership of not doing enough to bring internal democracy in their functioning. Aam Aadmi Party Volunteers Action Manch (AVAM), a parallel organisation comprising volunteers who regrouped themselves after failing to express their grievances within the party, said besides making such demands in party forums, they have been raising voice from Jantar Mantar for the past two weeks for giving rights to volunteers.

Allegations

The party is already battling such allegations in a couple of other States, courtesy its decision to stay away from upcoming Assembly elections there.

The AVAM members also attacked the party for not taking measures to tackle the issues faced by city auto drivers and hence “going back on their commitment made to this section during last year Assembly elections”.
