The Aam Aadmi Party said it is making an attempt to reach out to all corners of the Capital to get people to register their protest against the “absence of an elected government in Delhi”.
Initiating a public outreach programme, said a senior AAP leader, was important if the party were to consolidate the gains.
“From next week, our volunteers will spread out across the city for the signature campaign. We are planning to cover every household. It might sound ambitious but with the set of committed volunteers it is entirely possible to do it,” said a core strategist.
“Going by our experience during the bijli paani satyagrah the campaign should work to build the pressure further on the BJP government at the Centre and its representative, the Lieutenant-Governor of Delhi,” he added.
The impressive turn out at the AAP’s Sunday rally has become a “feel good” factor for the party which was till recently coming out of the shock of losing all the seven seats on its home turf of Delhi in the Lok Sabha polls.
