25-year-old man ‘jumps’ to death at metro station

: A 25-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a Metro train here on Sunday.

The incident took place in the morning at Subhash Nagar metro station on the Blue Line when the man jumped before the train going towards Vaishali/Noida, officials said.

He was rushed to a nearby hospital but died on the way, officials said.

Live bullets

A man from Uttar Pradesh was held on Sunday for allegedly carrying 10 live bullets on the Delhi Metro.

The incident was reported from the Anand Vihar metro station on the Blue Line.

“The man, P. Yadav, was handed over to the Delhi Police as he was not carrying valid documents to support carrying live ammunition,” said a police officer. (Inputs from PTI)
