: A 24-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death in north-west Delhi’s Mukundpur on Friday.
The victim has been identified as Chanchal Mishra. According to the police, he had had an argument with some of the assailants on Friday morning, after which he was warned of dire consequences.
“Around 9 p.m. on Friday, seven men barged into his house and began beating up his family members, all the while asking about Chanchal’s whereabouts,” said a senior police officer.
As soon as they found Chanchal, they stabbed him repeatedly, causing him to collapse on the floor. When his mother tried to intervene, they beat her up. The killers then fled the spot.
Neighbours, meanwhile, had rushed to the victim’s house on hearing the cries for help.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but was declared brought dead.
Four accused nabbed
A murder case was subsequently registered at the Bhalaswa Dairy police station. A number of raids over the next few hours led to the arrest of four men, three of who are brothers. Hunt is on for the remaining assailants, who have been identified, said the police.
The police are also verifying whether Chanchal was involved in drug trade.
