Women and children picketed the District Collectorate here on Saturday seeking total prohibition in the State.

In the demonstration organised by the New Democratic Labourers Front (NDLF), the protestors held placards and raised slogans urging the State Government to put an end to sale of liquor through the government-run Tasmac outlets. They also highlighted the ill-effect of alcohol and how it affected individuals, family and society. Police stopped the protestors who tried to picket the collectorate and removed them from the place.
