Fatal fall
A 23-year old unidentified person who attempted to disembark from a running train fell on the platform at Irugur and died.
Police sources here said that investigations are on to ascertain his identity.
Found drunk
Police during a check of vehicles near Pollachi bus stand on Tuesday found Sasikumar (30), the driver of a private mini bus from Pollachi to Vaniyampalayam, in an inebriated condition.
For abetting the offence of driving a vehicle after consuming liquor, conductor Anand (28) has also been taken into custody and further investigation is on.
