Water supply to be disrupted

Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board will stop Pilloor water supply on March 4 to take up urgent maintenance work at the head works and treatment plant, and in the clear water transmission main.

A release here has said that the proposed shutdown will affect those parts of the Coimbatore Corporation that receive Pilloor water supply, Palladam Municipality, 18 town panchayats and 508 rural habitations in Coimbatore and Tirupur districts.

The board will resume supply on March 5, the release said.
