Coimbatore Medical College Hospital has started a campaign to promote voting awareness among its patients.

On outpatient slips and prescription forms, the hospital prints a rubber-stamped message that says, “In order to fulfil our democratic duty, we will vote without fail”, in Tamil.

Hospital officials said that they were also planning to put up posters given by the district administration on voting awareness.

World Vision, a development and advocacy organisation, has come out with a poster to promote voting.

In a press release, the organisation said, “Children are pivotal to the development of our country. How they are doing, in all aspects of their lives, reflects the overall development of their family, community and society we live in. So cast your vote for leaders who will prioritise the needs of children whose voices are never heard.”
