Two children electrocuted

Two children were electrocuted in separate incidents on Thursday.

In the first incident, S. Ismail (13) of Pillayarpuram in SIDCO was electrocuted in the bathroom of a place of worship at Pillayarpuram.

He was rushed to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital, but was declared as brought dead. The Podanur police are investigating the case.

In another incident, M. Sangeetha (11) of Unjavelampatty village near Pollachi was electrocuted when she tried to insert a wire in a plug point.

The Pollachi East Police are investigating the case.

Woman robbed

of jewellery

Two unidentified persons reportedly waylaid S. Deepa (26) of Narasimmapuram Extension near Kuniyamuthur on Thursday night when she was riding her two-wheeler and robbed her of five sovereigns jewellery and fled the place.
