A torch rally by students of Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology that began at Ukkadam signal on Saturday morning marked the beginning of week-long activities to mark the Entrepreneurship Week (E-Week) of the National Entrepreneurship Network.
The college has planned 270 events based on the theme “Innovating for India”. It is being organised by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of the college that promotes entrepreneurial skill among the students.
The Hindu is the media partner for the event.
The torch rally, flagged off by S. Malarvizhi, Chairperson and Managing Trustee, Sri Krishna Institutions, passed through Athupalam, Karumbukadai, B.K. Pudur, Kuniamuthur and reached the college. C. Sreedharan, Director, Woodbriar Group, Coimbatore, received the torch and formally inaugurated the E-Week.
Examples
He urged students to take up entrepreneurship and motivated them using examples of entrepreneurs who have succeeded in life battling odds.
He also launched ‘Siffy Girls’, a campus venture, which was followed by the events.
The events would include various competitions that would be conducted in the college, rallies and other events in various parts of the city to create awareness about the E-Week to the public.
