Forty-four conservancy workers and their family members staying in T.M.C. Adiravidar Colony alongside Tirupur-Palladam highway petitioned District Collector G. Govindaraj on Monday seeking title deeds.
K. Muthusamy, one of the petitioners, said that the families were staying in the plots, which falls under Government Natham poramboke category, for the last 73 years.
“Conservancy workers who have been staying under similar conditions in other parts of the city have been given title deeds,” he said.
The petitioners said that the revenue officials had promised to look into the grievance.
