A clash over cellular phone conversation has left three injured in Suleswaranpatti near Pollachi.

According to police, Ramesh (30), employed in a workshop and Saravanan (24) employed in a firm providing audio services for functions were talking to each other over phone.

Heated exchanges

It seems when the conversation turned into heated exchanges, Manikandan shouted at his brother Ramesh and asked him to end the conversation and put the phone down.

Mistaking Manikandan to have yelled at him, Saravanan mobilised his friends Murugan, Karthik and Abu and rushed to the house of Ramesh on Monday evening, but found Ramesh, his brother Manikandan and his friend Majid were en-route on Kottur Road.

The gang is said to have attacked the trio severely causing bleeding injuries to their victims.

Weapons

The gang reportedly used blade, hook and rods as weapons. The injured were rushed to a hospital.

Police registered a case against the three and arrested Murugan and Karthik. A search is on for Abu and further investigation is on.
