The Coimbatore Local Planning Authority (LPA) recently sealed three blocks of a multi-storeyed residential building in the city for violating the norms.

An official of the LPA told The Hindu that the LPA officials sealed three blocks of a project by Mint Homes.

The project has four blocks and one of it is fully occupied.

The Corporation had taken action against the building for occupying open space reservation.

Access road

It is a multi-storeyed project and the access road to it should be at least 40 feet. But, the existing access road to it is just 30 feet.

Hence, the LPA officials sealed the three blocks that are not occupied.

The developer will have to submit a revised plan to the Directorate of Town and Country Planning for approval for the project, the official said.
