Students receive INSPIRE awards

The best projects from among the 418 selected from 15 schools in 32 districts of the State received the ‘Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research’ (INSPIRE) award here on Saturday.

The projects were displayed at a two-day exhibition held under the aegis of INSPIRE of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

The expo was conducted in collaboration with Tamil Nadu Science and Technology Centre, Chennai, and Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology.

The top 40 students received one sovereign gold coin, while the next best 40 projects received silver coins, and 80 others received books as prizes.

S. Malarvizhi, Chairperson and Managing Trustee of Sri Krishna and VLB Institutions, gave away the prizes at a function.
