The Railways has introduced special fare special overnight weekly trains in the Coimbatore – Krishnarajapuram (Bengaluru) section on the Coimbatore – Krishnarajapuram section from July 18 and on the Krishnarajapuram – Coimbatore section from July 19.
Stoppage
This train will be operated from Coimbatore on Tuesdays and from Krishnarajapuram on Wednesdays and will stop at Tirupur, Erode, Salem, and Tirupattur.
While the Coimbatore – Krishnarajapuram train will be operated till September 26, the Krishnarajapuram – Coimbatore train will be plied till September 27 (11 services each).
The train No. 06060 Coimbatore – Krishnarajapuram train will leave Coimbatore at 8.40 p.m. on Tuesdays from July 18, Tirupur 9.25 p.m.; Erode 10.15 p.m.; Salem 11.10 p.m.; Tiruppatur 1.05 a.m. on Wednesday and will reach Krishnarajapuram at 4 a.m.
In the return direction, No. 06059 Krishnarajapuram (Bengaluru) – Coimbatore train will depart from Krishnarajapuram at 9.30 p.m. on Wednesdays from July 19, Tiruppatur at 1 a.m. on Thursday; Salem 2.42 a.m.; Erode 3.45 a.m.; Tirupur 4.30 a.m. and will reach Coimbatore at 5.20 a.m.
The train will comprise of AC two-tier one coach, sleeper class 12 coaches, general second class two coaches and luggage-cum-brake van two coaches.
Advance booking
An official press release of Salem Railway Division issued here on Monday said that the advance booking for these trains is already open.
Poor patronage will force the Railways to withdraw these special train services midway, the release said.
