Six leading Russian Government institutions will take part in an education fair to be held here on June 6.
Director of Russian Centre of Science and Culture Mikhail J. Gorbatov told presspersons here on Friday that the participating institutions will include those offering medical and engineering courses. At the day-long event to be held at Hotel Residency Towers, those who furnish Plus-Two mark sheet will be given spot admission.
Three students from Tamil Nadu were chosen for master’s programmes at a similar event held in Chennai.
Up to 20 medical seats of the 400 available across Russia are to be offered on full scholarship.
Two leading universities will participate in the fair that will now admit Indian students. Students interested in undergraduate and postgraduate courses will benefit from the fair.
The Russian Education Fair is the 17the edition of the event to be organised in south India by the Cultural Department of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation.
According to him, nearly 8,500 Indian students are studying in the 640 universities in Russian Federation. And the number is increasing by 20 per cent annually.
