Cash to the tune of Rs. 10.7 lakh was seized from a car by the flying squad on Odasalpatti Koot Road, near Pappireddipatti, on Monday, police said.
According to the police, on information the team intercepted the car proceeding towards Dharmapuri from Harur near Odasalpatti Koot Road and on enquiry it was found that Saravanan, manager of a private financial firm, was going to Dharmapuri after the collection at Harur. Since he failed to provide any evidence in support of the claim, the cash was seized and handed over to the Income Tax department. .
