Renovated crèche inaugurated

A crèche for the children of police personnel that was functioning out of the Police Recruit School premises was inaugurated here on Friday after renovation.

According to the sources, the Coimbatore City Police administration had spent Rs. 5 lakh to renovate the crèche where 30 children aged between one and 10 years spend the day.

Collector Archana Patnaik inaugurated the crèche in the presence of Commissioner of Police A. Amalraj, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Lakshmi, Superintendent of Police Ramya Bharathi and other senior officers, sources said.
