Railway reservation counter opened at P.N. Pudur post office

P.R. Natarajan, MP, on Monday urged the Department of Posts and Southern Railway to open more Passenger Reservation System (PRS) ticket counters at the post offices in Periyanaickenpalayam, Sulur and Peelamedu and also at Sundarapuram (which comes under the Pollachi Parlaimentary constituency).

He was speaking at a function organised here to open a reservation counter at the Pappanaickenpudur post office off Marudhamalai Road. The opening of the counter would enable residents of PN Pudur, Veerakeralam, Vadavalli, Navavoor Pirivu, Thadagam Road and R.S. Puram to book/cancel their train tickets. At present booking of tickets are possible only at Podanur, Coimbatore Junction and Coimbatore North. N. Mahesh, Divisional Commercial Manager of Southern Railway, Salem Division, G. Gurunathan, Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Coimbatore Division, Divisional Railway Users Consultative Committee Members U.K. Sivagnanam, Jameel Ahmed, Railway Struggle Committee members G.K. Nagaraj and R. Raveendran took part in the function.
