Bharat Sena has urged the district administration to permit them to install more Ganesha idols for the Chathurthi celebrations, scheduled for August 29. In a release here, the organisation said that the permission should be without conditions.
The Sena wanted such a permission to be given to other Hindu organisations as well. The Sena members submitted a petition to the District Collector.
Title deedsThe BJP urban district president R. Nandakumar wanted the district administration to give title deeds to 22 families at Pillaiyarpuram in Ward 97. The administration had provided power connection, and public distribution system cards to them.
The party wanted the district administration to remove encroachments on the Nallampalayam Road. The road that ought to be 40 feet was narrower at several places because of encroachments.
There was a proposal to develop the road to 80 feet wide to ease traffic congestion, he said.
