V. Sundaram of Sundar Enterprises has been elected president of Coimbatore District Small Industries Association at its annual meeting here.
According to a press release from the association, the other office-bearers are R. Ramamamurthy (Sri Rang Industries), M.V. Ramesh Babu (Paramount Platers) and V. Thirugnanam (Meridian Mediteck) - vice-presidents, A. Kumar (Sri Balaji Enterprises) is the secretary and R. Sasidaran of Nathan Industries is the treasurer.

The Punjab National Bank has shifted its circle office from Trichy to Coimbatore. The new office was inaugurated recently. Usha Ananthabalasubramanian, Managing Director and CEO of the bank, who inaugurated it, said that the banking business is more from Coimbatore and opening the office here will enable customers to carry out the banking operations in Coimbatore. The bank plans to open five to 10 more branches in the next six months, a release said.
