Tourists put their lives in danger and also pollute the forests at Agasapalam near Naduvattam on the Ooty – Gudalur National Highway in The Nilgiris.

The wayside waterfalls in Naduvattam is a tourist attraction.

Safety threat

The youth climb on the parapet walls of the highway to take pictures of the falls, posing a threat to their personal safety. On the other hand, tourists litter the area near the waterfalls leaving a lasting impact of pollution downstream. District Forest Officer C.
