AIADMK members who support former Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam conducted a signature campaign and protest at two places in the city on Friday.

In Ganapathy, led by former Mayor P. Rajkumar, the members conducted a meeting and a signature campaign asking people to urge the MLA, Coimbatore North, P.R.G. Arunkumar to vote as per people’s wishes in the Assembly on Saturday, when the Chief Minister K. Palaniswami will seek a vote of confidence.

Mr. Rajkumar said that the MLA Mr. Arunkumar was not accessible to the voters of his constituency and appeared to be under the control of a group in a resort in Chennai.

Mr. Rajkumar led a similar protest in Ramanathapuram to urge the Coimbatore South MLA Amman K. Arjunan to vote as per the people’s wishes in the Assembly on Saturday.

Former Councillor P.K. Rajendran, a few ward secretaries and others participated in the protest.
