Mr. Landes said that Microsoft had various innovation centres around the world. There were 15 such centres in India.

“Microsoft team creates the right space for students for developing new applications. More than 600 million people are using Windows OS across the world. The Windows 8 was launched recently. But many have not started using it. Earlier version of Windows is still being used,” Mr. Landes said.

S. Vijayarangan, Director of the college, the MCET-Microsoft team would pave the path of success for students. “Internal competition and external collaboration will always offer challenges to the youth. The centre will provide an ideal platform for developing applications and will help in bringing out innovative ideas and talents of the students,” he said.
