Man alleges cheating

Vadakkipalayam police are on lookout for a person who received advance for selling his property and failing to keep the promise and selling it to some body else. R. Sherif of Sathyanagar in his complaint said that he had entered into an agreement to purchase land from G. Rajagopal of Kerala and paid Rs. 7.30 lakh as advance. But Rajagopal had sold the land to R. Antony and V. Srilal Variyar, both from Kerala. Police have registered a case and are investigating. In another case R. Sherif said that he had entered into an agreement to purchase land from A. Kavin Alphonse of Sugunapuram and had paid advance Rs. 7.30 lakh. But said that Kavin had sold his land to G. Rajagopalmannan, V. Leo Joseph and B. Rajiv Nagar. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
