Lok Adalat settles over 2,000 cases in Coimbatore

A sum of ₹23.38 crore was settled during the adalat

A total of 2,071 cases and a sum of ₹ 23.38 crore were settled in the Lok Adalat conducted at the Coimbatore Court on Saturday.

The Adalat was held under the supervision of First Additional District Judge and the Chairman of District Legal Services Authority M. Christopher and Chief Judicial Magistrate K.R. Mathurasekaran.

As many was 7,371 cases – transport disputes, petty crimes, cheque fraud, motor vehicle accidents, civil disputes, and labour disputes - were considered at the Adalat in the combined court complex.

Judges K. Babu, J. Flora, J. Sridevi, A. Manimozhi, M.N. Senthilkumar, N. Umarani, N. Parabakar, M. Praveena, S. Dhanalakshmi, N. Sharmila, A. Selvakumar, V.S. Balamurugan, retired judges S.A. Sreeramulu, A. Noor Ahammed, V. Ramasamy and advocates took part in the Adalat.
