KPR Engineering College, in association with the State Government’s Department of Arts and Culture conducted a kavadiyattam competition at the KPR college grounds on Sunday.

In a press release, the college stated that 12 dance troupes participated in the competition with more than 500 participants. This included children and those aged up to 60 years.

College officials said that hundreds of people came to witness the competition. Prizes were distributed to the best troupes by the organisers. The Iduvai dance troupe won the first prize in the event.
