Karunanidhi reviews traffic arrangements

Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi had a two-hour long meeting with officials on traffic, transport and parking arrangements for the World Classical Tamil Conference to be held here in June.

The meeting was attended among other by Durai Murugan, PWD Minister and Reception Committee Chairman; Higher Education Minister K. Ponmudi; Transport Arrangement Committee Chairman and Highways Minister M.P. Saminathan; and Rural Industries and Animal Husbandry Minister Pongalur N Palanisamy; Special Officer for Tamil Meet K. Allauddin; Additional Director-General of Police (Law and Order) K. Radhakishnan; Commissioner of Police, Coimbatore City, C. Sylendra Babu; and District Collector P. Umanath. He asked officials about the routes for VVIPs. The Chief Minister also asked officials to ensure that the traffic arrangements for the conference did not hinder the movement of public and other motorists.
