Heavy rush at railway station, bus stand

The Erode bus stand and railway station witnessed milling crowd on Tuesday as thousands of anxious people, heading home to celebrate Deepavali, poured in since morning to board buses and trains.

Bus services

The buses proceeding to Coimbatore, Salem and Tiruchi also witnessed huge crowds.

The TNSTC had introduced additional bus services to clear the rush.

More than 100 buses are being operated from Erode to Coimbatore, Tiruchi, Salem, Madurai, Chennai, Namakkal, Rasipuram, Tirupur, Sathyamangalam, Palani, Karur and Dindigul.

Special buses

The Corporation also introduced special buses connecting Erode and other important towns in the district including Gobichettipalayam.
