District Elementary Education officials reprimanded a school headmaster after he allegedly canned students.

Sources said the headmaster of Uthupalayam Panchayat Union Primary School, Anandakrishan, canned students Valarmathy, Nitish, Devaraj and Sumathy a few days ago after they complained about his poor teaching to the Assistant Elementary Education Officer who was on inspection.

The students complained to their parents, who brought it to the notice of the vice president of the Kanjappalli panchayat, Anandakumar.

Mr. Anandakumar lodged a complaint with the District Elementary Education officials, who after a spot visit reprimanded Mr. Anandakrishnan. The parents gave up their demand for punishment after the headmaster apologised.
