The City Police has introduced a toll free helpline for the public to address complaints and grievances.
The toll free Commissioner Grievances Helpline number 654-2222 will function round-the-clock. An exclusive team of telephone operators has been nominated for the purpose. The team will attend the calls and register the complaint in a log book. The information will be immediately passed on to the authority concerned for immediate action. The registration number and status report of the complaint will be informed to the complainant.
The person making a call to this number need not reveal his/her identity. Launching the system on Saturday, City Police Commissioner Amaresh Pujari said that the objective of the helpline was to ensure that the grievances of the people were properly redressed. Grievances/complaints can also be sent to Mr. Pujari via email - commissioner@coimbatorecitypolice.com.
