Fulfilling late sister’s wish

Mahamoodha (38) of Kottaimedu sprang a surprise on every one at the District Collectorate here on Thursday, when she walked in to handover a cheque for Rs. 1 lakh to District Collector T.N. Hariharan, in a bid to fulfil the 12-year-old wish of her late sister Jamrudnisha.

According to Mahamoodha, Jamurdnisha passed away at the age of 22 in 2004 due to cancer. She had written a will stating that whatever be her share of the family property, it should go towards cancer cure. Jamrudnish was the 15{+t}{+h}child for her father Meeran.

The will was with Mahamoodha for the last 12 years.

The family that was living in a house vacated the same to realise the rental advance and of the money, the share of late Jamurdnisha worked out to Rs. 1 lakh.
