Foreigner killed in accident near Kotagiri

A foreign tourist was killed in an accident near Kotagiri on Wednesday. According to the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Coonoor, Gouthaman, 64 tourists from various countries including England, Ireland and Canada were going to various parts of India on motorcycles as part of an adventure expedition.

While proceeding from here to Kotagiri en route to Kerala, the motorcycle of one of the members, Hallam Christopher James (39) of Portrush, U.K., collided with a car approaching from Kotagiri near the Pandian Park. He died on the spot.

The body was taken to the Government Hospital in Kotagiri for a post mortem.

A case was registered by the Kotagiri police.
