Awareness drives

The district administration, in a bid to enhance the voter participation and to strive for 100 per cent polling, has planned to conduct campaigns, rallies, human chains and street plays.

The Election Commission has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with four non-governmental organisations in this connection. The NGOs will work with campus ambassadors in educational institutions.

The Collector on Wednesday held a meeting with the campus ambassadors to finalise the programmes.

The drive will also include awareness generation on Electronic Voting Machines by organising a demonstration of the same.
