Nivedha Rajshree, a senior associate with a multi-national company at Chennai, had lodged a complaint with the police that a driver of a private bus abused her.

The complainant told reporters here that she boarded the Chenani-bound bus from Avinashi on Monday night.

But as soon as she boarded the bus, it was found that rain water was entering the vehicle. “It should be noticed that the bus operator did not send the vehicle for which the ticket was booked. Instead the vehicle sent for the trip was in a bad shape. When I asked the driver how one could travel in wet conditions till Chennai, he threatened and abused me besides asking me to sleep on the floor of the vehicle,” she said. The Avinashi police are investigating.
