Coimbatore Kennel Club is organising its 47 and 48 All India Championship Dog Show on December 23 at SNR College of Arts and Science.
According to Vikram Damodaran and S.N. Karthikeyan, president and secretary of the club respectively, around 250 dogs of various breeds such as Beagle, Great Dane, Min Pin, Doberman, Rottweiler, Pug, Irish Shetter and German shepherd will participate in the show.
Besides these, a large number of imported breeds will also participate.
Members of the jury to adjudge the dogs will be Godofredo B. Salud from Philippines and Jeuson Lee from Malaysia. The highlight of the show will be a performance by the canine sleuths of the Tamil Nadu Police dog squad, according to club treasurer A. Kalyanasundaram.
