The Department of English and Foreign Languages, Bharathiar University, will conduct a conference on ‘Culture through language and literature’ in February. A release said that the conference would focus on cultural studies as a field of inter-disciplinary academic exercises and initiate intellectual discussion on power relation among human beings. Around 300 foreign delegates were expected to participate. The participants would present papers on multiculturalism, cultural hybridisation, gender and culture, language and thought process and a few other topics.
