Registrar of Companies (ROC), Coimbatore, Manuneethi Chozhan has refuted charges of trespassing, criminal intimidation, assault and attempt to murder levelled against him by a complainant M.M. Sundaram.

Mr. Manuneethi Chozhan spoke to The Hindu responding to the news item that appeared on May 3, 2013.

The news item was based on a First Information Report (FIR) of the Thudialur Police.

Responding to the complaint by M.M. Sundaram and the sections invoked by the Police, Mr. Manuneethi Chozhan said that the complaint was false..

The said complainant approached a private mill asking for duplicate copies of his share certificates.

The mill on verification of the folio number and distinct number of the shares found that the shares were sold more than a decade ago.

Then, the mill complained to the Registrar of Companies even as Mr. Sundaram had approached the ROC with the similar issue.

The ROC wrote to Mr. Sundaram not to resort to such practices and asked him to show cause as to why criminal action should be taken against him. Hence, Mr. Sundaram, who was disappointed over ROC not taking sides with him, has indulged in such an act.

With regard to the complaint and the sections invoked by the police against him, Mr. Manuneethi Chozhan said he had ample proof and evidence to fight the same legally.
